Redirects
Last updated: Dec 04, 2023

Redirects are a great way to redirect your old links to active pages. This might be handy if you're migrating from another CMS to webigniter, or when you just changed your URL's.

You should avoid dead links, because they can significantly harm your search engine rankings.

All redirects created within Webigniter, will be forwarded using a 301 redirect, which means 'moved permanently'. This is the best way of forwarding old URL's to the new URL's.

To add a redirect, click 'add redirect'.

The URL is the old URL where your page used to be. The destination is the new page where the old URL should link to. Please note that you specify a page here, so if you manualy change the URL of that page, the redirect is updated automatically.
